Information on becoming a member of AASSP/NASSP/ACSA

Membership in AASSP/NASSP is open to individual, associate and retired members. 
 
  
NASSP has aunified membership agreement with AASSP.  This agreement requiresmembership in both state and national associations.  AASSP provides membership services for all Alaska NASSP members.

The AASSP/NASSP membership period begins on October 1st each year through September30th each year.  Dues may not be prorated and membership isnon-transferable. AASSP members shall make payment directly to the AlaskaAssociation of Secondary School Principals. 


Individual or Institutional Membership Dues $614 
- Open to any current Secondary (MS, HS or K-12) Principal, Principal-Teacher,Assistant Principal and other administrator (Superintendent, School District or Statewide Administrator) in Alaska. 

Individual or Institutional membershipincludes membership in AASSP, the Alaska Council of SchoolAdminsitrators (ACSA) and the National Association of Secondary SchoolPrincipals (NASSP)

Individual members receive NASSP publications and NASSP legal and liability coverage.  Membership in AASSP includes AASSP legal assistance (based on the number years of membership - some restrictions may apply) and may vote for AASSP board members and also hold AASSP office.

Associate Membership Dues $168 - Open to department heads, teachers,Dean of Students, aspiring principals, other graduate students,professors, and any non-administrators interested in K-12, middle leveland high school administration.

Associate members do not receive
membership in ACSA or receive legalor liability coverage and cannot vote or hold office in AASSP.  Membership includes NASSP publications, which are available at additional cost.

Retired Membership Dues $104 
-  Open to any retired Alaska principal who has previously been a member in NASSP/AASSP. 

Does not include membership in ACSA and does not include NASSPpublications, which are available at additional cost.
